Lng applications

Lng applications

  • Automotive.

A refueling station anywhere, with CNG for cars and LNG for buses and trucks.
The distribution of gas in liquid form allows to build fuel stations anywhere, without the need to rely on connection to a gas pipeline.

    Vehicles refuelling stations
The LNG flexible logistics allows to widen and spread the NG refuelling network. In this way, Natural Gas Vehicles (NGVs) can refuel as easily and comfortably as vehicles running on traditional fuels. Also their autonomy gets increased. LNG / LCNG refuelling stations, both the ones with public access and the private for commercial and industrial fleets, can refuel cars and light-duty vehicles with CNG or brand-new Heavy-duty vehicles and buses with LNG, the ones already equipped with cryogenic tank on-board.
  • Industry.

LNG as a main or additional new energy source.
Thanks to this technology, an industrial site not connected to gas pipelines can replace LPG or other liquid fuels with LNG, in order to produce heat and/or electricity.

    Domestic / industrial distribution.
The use of LNG is particularly suitable for domestic or industrial distribution, especially in those areas that are not served by national transfer pipelines, as it is the most economical, safe, and environmentally friendly fuel. The storage facility includes: above-ground cryogenic storage tank keeping the LNG in liquid form at a pressure between 2 and 4 bar; ambient vaporizers able to convert LNG into CNG at environmental pressure and temperature; regulation unit for stabilizing the pressure at the network pressure; legal measurement pack and odorizing system, to guarantee the olfactory levels required by law.The system can be managed remotely by means of a monitoring and automation system, which directly controls the system’s operating parameters, signals any problems, and guarantees the required nominal performance.
  • Power generation.

Nothing is better than gas for producing energy.
Polargas helps the diffusion of methane supply for electric power plants, cogeneration plants, and trigeneration plants, with considerable economic, functional, and environmental advantages.
  • Lng applications

    Domestic and catering use.

Gas where there is no gas.
Other applications that could profit greatly from the use of LNG are heating first and daily use for cooking by families and the food service industry.
  • Marine applications

Over the next few years, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) plans to achieve a large reduction in polluting emissions in ships’ exhaust. Owing to this, LNG engines will play an important role.
